The Hamble Winter Series & The Warsash Spring Series

Professional sailing

For hardcore sailing under the crisp blue skies of the winter months around the Solent, there are the Hamble Winter Series (scheduled for October through to December) and the Warsash Spring Series (running from March to April), both of which are prestigious events on the British sailing calendar.

At Some Like It Yacht we offer weekend packages for these competitions. Available to crews of up to ten persons, with abilities ranging from amateur to experienced or professional level.

A rewarding sail

Competing in the IRC3 category regattas enables a crew to maintain their racing momentum to a very high standard throughout the year. Not for the fainthearted, as the demanding weather conditions and fiercely contested races test the stamina and endurance of the participants.

The package comprises of a days’ race training plus a days’ racing aboard the high performance First 40.7 yacht.

With the supervision of our professional skipper and deck hand you will learn and practice all aspects of performance sailing, which includes, yacht familiarisation, safety procedures and race tactics. Each crewmember will be assigned a specific role to encourage a strong team spirit.

After a hard days training, crewmembers relax on board the yacht or at a hotel in Cowes or Hamble, ready for a day of invigorating racing.
